About the College
The University of Idaho College of Education is committed to serve the people of Idaho and the region by providing educational programs emphasizing leadership and based on the latest research findings. Education undergraduate and graduate classes are delivered in Coeur d’Alene and Boise, and we also have an extensive delivery of Web-based instruction that allows students from all over the world access to courses.
The College of Education is positioned to become a national leader in teacher education and professional preparation. We have a strong reputation for innovation and excellence in Idaho and the Northwest. We graduate a significant portion of Idaho’s school administrators, teachers and counselors and offer dynamic programs that are innovative, effective and often interdisciplinary. Our students emerge from their years here transformed by their experience and confident in their ability to teach and improve our schools.
The College of Education is not only about teacher preparation. We also offer programs in dance, athletic training, exercise science and health, technology training and development, and recreation. Our graduate programs prepare leaders, counselors, school psychologists and sports psychologists – to name a few.
