Public Administration in Public and Nonprofit Management and Policy

Ranked #9 in Nonprofit Management by US News and World Report

The flexible and fluid world of public service requires abroad and transferable education. Housed in a school of public service, rather than a school of public policy or public affairs, the Master of Public Administration in Public and Nonprofit Management and Policy program at NYU Wagner educates professionals committed to public service in all sectors. Our program crosses traditional boundaries to teach a set of frameworks and analytics that students can use in the multitude of roles, organizations and sectors their careers will span.

Does subsidized housing improve communities?

Wagner's international policy and management curriculum prepares students to confront the challenges of implementing complex public service policies and programs in varying contexts.

The international coursework focuses on how institutional structures and managerial processes vary across the globe, and the institutional and political context within which policy is made and implemented. The curriculum includes a contemporary analysis of policy interventions, such as those that work to improve education, confront rapid population growth, reduce poverty and the burden of disease, and tackle corruption.
