迈阿密大学牛津分校Miami University,Oxford(MU)拥有相当好的声 誉，《美国新闻与世界报道》将其学术水平列入美国公立大学的前25名；《2005年Fiske大学指南》（Fiske Guide to Colleges 2005）给予其4.5颗星的学术评分（5颗星制）。MU被称赞为能够提供私立大学的教育环境，有“公立常青藤大学”的美誉（Public Ivy）。
迈阿密大学牛津分校Miami University,Oxford(MU)是本部位于美国 俄亥俄州牛津（Oxford）市的公立大学，同时在俄亥俄州的Hamilton市和Middletown市，以及在欧洲的卢森堡（Luxembourg） 设有三个分校。学校共有22,700名学生，其中有8.6%是来自世界上60多个不同国家的外国留学生。
MU的教育水平在全美公立大学中名列前茅，约有100多个本科专业、50多个硕士专业和14个博士专业。不论是自然科学还是社会科学，都有不少十分突出的专业，很受学生欢迎。
学校每学年有两个学期，第一学期从八月下旬到十二月下旬，第二个学期为一月上旬到五月上旬，同时也开设暑期课程。
