  What are the minimum GRE and GPA requirements?

  There is no minimum GRE or GPA requirement. The Admissions Committee reviews each aspect of every application before coming to a decision.

  I've taken the GRE more than once. Which score will be received/reviewed?

  The EE Department will receive each test score. All scores will be reviewed.

  Do I need to take the TSE exam?

  No. We do not require the TSE exam. The TOEFL is sufficient.

  Our application system is now entirely online. All of your application materials, including three letters of recommendation, self reported grades, self reported test scores, and personal statements must be submitted online.

  What are the minimum acceptable GRE and TOEFL scores?

  There are no minimum test score requirements. As a reference, however, the average GRE scores for the entering class of Fall 2004 were Verbal: 536, Quantitative: 783, and Analytical: 4.83, while the average TOEFL score was 263 (paper version 620+).

  No, we do not require these exams. You do not need to take the TSE and TWE tests.

  What is the percentage of foreign/international students?

  In Fall 2005, the percentage of foreign/international students was approximately 52% of the incoming class. Students were admitted from 40 different countries.

  Mater: A bachelor's degree in Electrical and/or Computer Engineering with a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.2 on a 4.0-point scale.

  PhD: A master's degree in Electrical and/or Computer Engineering with a minimum GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0-point scale and an undergraduate GPA of 3.2 or better.

  The general Graduate Record Examination (GRE). The minimum expected scores are:

  Verbal 600, Quantitative 730, Analytical 660. The subject GRE in engineering is not required.

  In addition, the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) is required of all foreign applicants whose native language is not English. A minimum score of 250 is expected (paper version 600).
