The Department of Criminal Justice offers studies on all aspects of crime and society's reaction to crime through law, policing, courts, and correctional institutions and services.
The degree provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the nature and causes of crime, criminal justice processes, criminal justice organizations and agency practices, and the law and legal system. They will also be exposed to scientific and theoretical models that are used for the analysis and critique of the criminal justice system.
The graduate program in criminal justice offers two degree options — a traditional master's degree and a professional master's degree, both exposing students to a variety of courses to suit their career or academic expectations.
