It's a great time to be a part of Pitt's School of Education. Founded nearly 100 years ago, we've evolved into an institution that produces researchers, educators, and administrators of extraordinarily high quality with a unique ability to spot trends in national data and then propose solutions to emerging problems.

Over the past five years, we've strengthened our efforts and impact in four key areas:

Improving education for students in urban schools
Exploring how public policy influences classroom practice
Understanding the factors that enable classroom success
Developing obesity prevention and intervention programs
We offer programs in four academic departments:

Administrative and Policy Studies
Health and Physical Activity
Instruction and Learning
Psychology in Education
By The Numbers
