The Educational Administration program at The Ohio State University has provided exemplary leadership education at the master's and doctoral levels for over half a century and is consistently ranked among the top programs in the country.

Graduates of the program serve in primary and secondary schools, colleges, and universities, as well as in other educational, governmental, or human service agencies across the nation and throughout the world.

The mission of the Educational Administration program is to prepare individuals for leadership and faculty roles in educational administration and to meet licensure requirements for administrative and supervisory positions in schools and school districts. Fundamental to the mission are the development, implementation and assessment of educational policies.

The Educational Administration program integrates emphases on theory, research, and practice, and their interrelationships. The program faculty engage actively in inquiry and are committed to having an impact on the scholarship, policy, and practice related to their fields.

Areas of study within the Educational Administration program include governance, policy, organizational analysis, organizational structure and learning, leadership, organization and human development, instructional leadership, budget and finance, collective bargaining, employment relations, school and community relations, equity, and law.

Our Educational Administration program is No. 8 in the nation, according to U.S. News and World Report's 2010 edition of America's Best Graduate Schools.
