- This program offers two emphases: collaborative arts, which gives in-depth training in all aspects of chamber music and accompaniment; and performance, which provides concentrated studies in repertoire and technique.

- Students seeking admission must provide official documentation of having earned at least a U.S. bachelor's degree, or its equivalent from another country, by the time they enroll at Syracuse. Some programs require a master's degree. International applicants must have graduated from colleges or universities that are recognized by the national educational authorities of their home countries. Students from Canada must have a three-year bachelor's degree from Quebec or a four-year bachelor's degree from the other provinces. Students from Central and South America must have a university degree requiring four years of study. Students from France and other countries following the French system must have a degree or diploma requiring four years of study after the baccalaureate (usually the maitrise). Students from Germany must have completed a diploma. Students from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Nepal are required to have a bachelor's degree in engineering or a master's degree in any other field. Students from other Asian countries must have a university degree requiring four years of study Students from United Kingdom and countries following the British system must have a bachelor's degree with honors. Students from Other European countries must have a university degree requiring four years of study. Students should have obtained a minimum TOEFL score of 620 paper-based, 260 computer-based, or 105 internet-based for applicants for whom English is not a native language.
