In my first assignment with [Company X], I was acting as a facilitator to help my client’s organization achieve durable savings in sourcing expenses. This meant entirely changing the manner in which the purchasing department interacted with its suppliers.
Firstly, I made it clear to everyone that the purchasing VP was leading the project and that I was merely a facilitator. This way, he felt much less threatened and this gave me a chance to win his trust．Furthermore the fact that the project leader belonged to the organization gave a lot more credibility to the whole initiative.
