This program aims to prepare students in the environmental biological sciences. Students focus on either microbial or population studies and must have the equivalent of an undergraduate major in biology; they should expect to take at least four of their concentration courses in the Biology Department. Graduates may continue environmental research at the Ph.D. level, or work in environmental consulting or in horticulture or wildlife fields as biologists.
